Ex-LABOUM’s Yulhee Finally Opens Up About Divorce from FTISLAND’s Choi Minhwan

The heartfelt revelation came during a July 2 episode of the YouTube talk show This Is Really the Final, in a segment titled “No Filter Housewives’ Party: We Went Too Far.” Joined by comedian Jung Juri, YouTuber Kim Ttolttol, and content creators Jang Eunji and her husband, Yulhee tackled topics including pregnancy, marriage, and the emotional weight of parenting.
“I instinctively knew I was pregnant even before the test turned positive,” Yulhee shared. But despite the excitement, her early experience was marred by severe morning sickness. “I had no appetite. And I don’t think I had much of a sex drive either. Honestly, I’ve forgotten a lot of it. I think I erased those memories on purpose.”

The group responded with a mix of humor and empathy. “They say your brain comes out with the baby,” Jung Juri quipped, while Jang Eunji added, “When you push during labor, a bit of your brain comes out through your ears.”
When asked about changes in her husband after the wedding, Yulhee answered with unfiltered honesty: “Well, he changed—that’s why we got divorced, isn’t it?” She then posed a thought-provoking question to the group: “Why do you think men change after marriage?” Kim Ttolttol replied, “Before marriage, they try to impress you. But after marriage, they get comfortable and their true personality shows.”

Yulhee and Choi Min-hwan‘s marriage began in 2018 and ended in 2023 after five years and three children. Their separation became a public controversy after Yulhee alleged Minhwan had engaged in inappropriate behavior, including visits to adult entertainment venues. She even released recorded conversations as evidence during the height of the scandal.
Though Minhwan denied any involvement in prostitution and was later cleared of charges after a police investigation, the backlash forced him to halt public activities. The ordeal was widely covered by Korean media, amplifying the emotional toll on both sides.
Yulhee’s recent appearance reveals her continued healing process, and her willingness to speak openly has resonated deeply with many viewers, especially young mothers and women navigating post-divorce life. Her story is a poignant reminder of the personal costs behind the public lives of idols.
